Planning a Mobility

Are you studying teacher education at FAU and would like to plan a stay abroad? Then you can find important steps and contacts here.

  1. Selecting the host country/institution

Find out about partner universities of “FAU Teacher Education International” and other partner universities of FAU and receive advice from the Central Office for International Affairs “S-INTERNATIONAL” or the international offices of the faculties (see “Contacts” below).

  1. Selection of the mobility program

You can choose between short-term mobilities (up to two weeks), long-term mobilities (study semesters) or internships abroad. Information on the different mobility formats in the project and through other programs can be found on the previous pages.

In addition, the Central Office for International Affairs “S-INTERNATIONAL” or the international offices of the faculties are available for information and counselling (see “Contacts” below).

  1. Application, Admission & Organizational Matters

For information on applications, application deadlines, necessary language skills, accommodation options, insurance, visas, etc., you can get advice from the Central Office for International Affairs “S-INTERNATIONAL” or the International Office of your faculty. In the Central Office for International Affairs you will find the contact persons for different regions. Among them are the Team Europe ERASMUS/ EU Programs and the Team Overseas (see below “Contacts”).

  1. Funding opportunities

Within the framework of “FAU Teacher Education International”, you have the opportunity to apply for a full scholarship for a stay abroad at one of the partner universities. In order to apply for the full scholarship, you must already have a confirmation of a study place at a partner university. The condition for the full scholarship is that you attend modules from at least two pillars of teacher education (subject-related studies, subject-realted didactics, educational science, internship, admission thesis) in your study abroad and participate in a pre- and post-study seminar.

In addition, you can also get advice on funding opportunities from the Central Office for International Affairs “S-INTERNATIONAL” or from the International Office of your faculty (see “Contacts” below).
